Transformation Through Integrated Practice
With Gitta Bechsgaard, Jette Berring & Gillian McCann
February 11 - 15, 2012
Practice is a lifelong endeavor. It is an inner pilgrimage of the
soul. Through integrated practice we can come to realize our inner potential, for without polishing and refinement the Self remains an abstraction. Yogic practice is a catalyst which brings embodied transformation to life, turning intellectual knowledge into true wisdom. It supports the aspirant through all terrains and conditions on the inner journey, carrying him or her through both the greatest heights and the lowest valleys of life. When integrated and balanced, it deepens and enriches our experience and understanding in every possible way. Practice as a transformative power is at the very heart of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. It is the means to the destination of the Self.
This Yoga-workshop is meant for yoga-practitioners and teachers, professionals as well as student of Yoga who are interested in a deepening of practice, as well as a more rigorous study of classical Yoga Philosophy. The Asana teachings are based on the B.K.S Iyengar method, emphasizing precision and alignment in practice. The daily schedule is structured in a manner where practice and lecture are in dialogue with one another.
